From the photographers: “Hovering high above the ancient Khmer temple of Angkor Wat, the moon is about to ‘swallow the Sun’ on the late morning of 1995, October 24th, giving way to the corona on the upper side of the disk. Located 17-degrees east of the totally eclipsed Sun, bright Venus pops out of the sky whereas fainter Jupiter, 44-degrees east, is only discernible to the keen eye. The historic temple of Angkor Wat has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.” – © Alexander Ertler and Thomas Weiland
