From the photographer: “In the countryside of Piazza Armerina (Sicily – Italy) stands a place of magic: The Enchanted Stones or Danging Puppets.They are marine conglomerates that rise from the ground like standing stones. A popular legend tells that a group of countrymen and women were transformed in stones as a punishment during a sabbatical dance. The shot catches the peasants dancing in circle and around themselves while the enchanted lights spell them into stones. The circular movement of the sabbatical ball is reflected in the sky with the ageless rotation of the stars.”
