Planets Above the Roof of Sichuan

Planets Jupiter (brightest), Mars, and Saturn are aligned in a triple planetary conjunction in this morning sky of Sichuan, China. The TWAN photographer was at 4000 meters elevation in Mount Gongga region, the easternmost 7,000 meters (23,000 ft) peak in the world and the third highest peak outside the Himalaya.
