In Search of Natural Skies

The southern Milky Way from a remote island beach in Halmahera. From the photographer: “Away from any settlements and lights, the sky above the little island of Pulau Plun, only 1 km long, was pretty dark. The only light on the horizon (reflected by the clouds) come from small villages on the coast of Halmahera, only 12 km away.”
