St Helens Nightscape

Looking into the exploded crater of Mt St Helens and taking in the landscape devastated by the blast. Under the stars, what is a year, or 30 since this volcano last erupted, or 30,000 compared to the vastness of the Milky Way. The Milky Way stands over the crater, while Portland city lights compete on the right horizon. In Spirit Lake below, trees blasted from the hillside float through the night from shore line to shore line guided by the mountain breezes.
