Blue Moon, a View from Atacama
Description
The rising moon after sunset. This was a “Blue Moon”, the second full Moon in a month. The term does not refer to the Moon’s color. Blue moons tend to occur in some month about every 2.5 years. From the photographer: “Well, its color is anything but blue during the moonrise in the desert! We really enjoyed the view. The Moon was truly spectacular in clear skies above Chilean Andes.”
