Description

A public observing night at the Perth Observatory telescope at the Millennium Dome. From the photographer: “The Meade 40cm LX200 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope at the Millennium Dome, is one of seven telescopes located at Perth Observatory, Bickley, on the outskirts of Perth, Western Australia. The red light helps people to maintain “dark adapted” eyesight, making it easier to see faint astronomical objects through the telescope. The constellation Grus is visible through the open dome, and the brightest star is Alpha Grus.”
