New Year at Alps

Moments after the midnight residents of Montafon valley in the Austrian Alps celebrate the new year 2014 by launching fireworks from every village. In the sky constellation Canis Major (the Great Dog) appear between the passing clouds. The dazzling white-blue star is Sirius, the brightest star in our night sky, marking the face of the celestial dog.
