Moonlight Peace Panorama

A peaceful moonlit night in a pine forest of La Palma, Canary Islands. The bright southern star Canopus is near the horizon. Sirius, the brightest star in our night sky, is higher up and the Moon is shining at the upper left. Teide volcano that forms the island of Tenerife is visible at the horizon (left). Move the slider on the image to see the labels and lines. The image is made during a TWAN international night sky photography workshop known as the Astromaster La Palma.
