Sky After Wildfires
Description
The night sky in a moonlit night over a burnt forest in northern Catalonia, Spain, after severe wildfires in August 2013 that caused many damages. The small village where me and my family spent two days was locked, no one can leave or enter. A few days later, when the fires were officially extinguished, I could get close to what were once lush forests of conifers and get pictures at night. The ground was still warm and exuded a pungent odor ash.” © Juan Carlos Casado
