Venus and the Zodiacal Light

The zodiacal light appears over the Green Island along the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site by the coast of Queensland, Australia. Added by the photographer: “As the first glimmers of dawn were appearing in the east, eclipse chasers were all set up (for the 2012 November 14 total solar eclipse) and watching as the planet Venus shone brilliantly and the southern zodiacal light appeared to streak upward and to the left from Venus.”
