Sky at Long Lasting Summer Twilight
Description
The arch of the Milky Way at the coast of Brittany, France. From the photographer: “It was just 2 days before the Summer Solstice at Meneham near the city of Brest (the light dome on the right end). I was at an old guardhouse built between the boulders. It’s an interesting time of the year, because the long lasting twilight allow nice colors. At my latitude, there is no real deep night at this time, as the astronomical twilight never finishes.” Click on the second photo to see another view of this scene with the constellation figures. © Laurent Laveder
