Perseid Over Fornace Penna

From the photographer: “In the silence of the night, an ancient fragment of a comet, a cosmic traveler, ignites above the ruins of Fornace Penna. The bright, greenish-purple trail suggests the presence of magnesium and calcium vaporized during atmospheric ablation. The Pleiades open star cluster (M45), the constellations Taurus and Perseus are clearly visible in the surrounding sky. A fleeting moment, but one that will remain etched in our memory like a timeless memory.”
