Yosemite Moonlight

Morning twilight approaches Yosemite Valley, a World Heritage Site in California. Stars of the Big Dipper (a prominent asterism in constellation Ursa Major) are on the upper left. Following the curve along the handle of the dipper leads you to bright star Arcturus near the northeastern horizon. Coma star cluster is the loose group of stars in the middle of the image. On the lower right Venus rises over Yosemite as the “Morning Star”. Down on the Earth two stunning natural beauty of Yosemite are framed in the center. El Capitan, a 900-meter tall rock, is on the left. This giant granite monolith is one of the world’s favorite challenges for rock climbers. To its right further away in the valley is the Half Dome, Yosemite’s most familiar rock formation. The granite crest rises about 1450 meters above the valley floor.
