Full Moon Corona

As seen on Astronomy Picture of the Day. A HDR composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “The last Full Moon of the 2024. The Moon was rise from the mountain group called Brentoni, in the Italian Dolomites. A beautiful lunar corona also appears in the image, which appeared due to the low winter temperatures present on the evening of the shooting and the wake left by an airplane.”
