Moonbow on the Arctic
Description
From the photographer: “I was on a boat 8,436km from here with 42 strangers for 15 days and 14 nights. The day was like an eternal sunrise and a sunset .. and the night.. well… the night on the Arctic is like a dream.
‘We are on eclipse season’ – Esther, on Cabin 3, always said. ‘We started this trip with the annular solar eclipse and we are ending it with the full Moon. The most powerful of the year: the full Moon on Aries.
We didn´t see it for many days and nights, but once the Moon made her appearance, the entire world changed. The bluish colors of the glacier manifested strongly in front of us. The sea became still and the wind stopped roaring. The same Moon I have been spotting all my life. But tonight it looks different. Its light reflects and refracts in the mist suspended in the air above the archipelago creating a hypnotic eye.”
