New England Autumn Night

Rotating sky above a lake in the White Mountains during fall foliage in New England. The single-exposure photograph of about 30 minutes long reveals the Earth rotation as star trails around the north celestial pole, marked by Polaris in the top. The night was pitch black and starry except for the moments when a car was passing the road next to the lake. Yellow glow of a nearby town appear on the northern horizon.
