Blue Moonlit Night Over Yellow Rapeseed
Description
A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “Even though April can still be extremely cold, it is not lacking in flowering landscapes. The bright yellow rapeseed has been a real eye-catcher since the end of March. And it’s not just during the day that it creates fantastic colors in the landscape. This photo was taken with the moon 87% illuminated. It shows a huge rapeseed field on a southern slope near the community of Benrather Hof in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, Rhineland-Palatinate. The camera’s view is due north and shows the Polar Star in the center of the star trails. The moon is located almost exactly opposite the camera’s line of sight, high in the south. This results in little or no shadows. The rapeseed field shines in a rich yellow while the stars wander across the blue firmament of a sweetly scented moonlit night.”
