A Celestial Pair Over the Jama Masjid
Description
The moon and Venus meets in the early evening sky of Delhi, India. A sequence of images has captured the setting pair over the western horizon. This iconic monument in the beating heart of old Delhi is Jama Masjid or the mosque of Jahan-Numā (means the world-reflecting in Persian). The mosque is built in the 1650s during the empire Shah Jahan, who also built the Taj Mahal. This is the largest mosque in India.
