Super Blue Moon Above Naro
Description
A photo composite of two exposures. From the photographer: “This image leads us to discover another magical place in Sicily. The town of Naro is the ideal backdrop for the Super Blue Moon! Like a small village built on a hill, the town develops in all its beauty showing its historical and artistic riches: on the left the church of Sant’Agostino with its imposing dome, on the right the church of San Nicola above which the Norman cathedral rises. The leading role in the town is certainly reserved for the Chiaramontano castle. It was built in the twelfth century and remodeled in the Chiaramonte period during which the building became the residence of Frederick III of Aragon. Faced with such beauty, the Moon could only timidly observe the town, hiding behind a sinuous blanket of clouds.”
