Moon and Planets Alignment

From the photographer: “Crescent moon is my favorite phase of the moon and I don’t let any chance to go when it’s time to capture it; especially in combination with a seascape. Today I had the chance to capture the crescent moon at my hometown’s port in combination with four planets (Jupiter, Venus, Mars and Saturn). I woke up at 5 a.m. and when I arrived at the port the moon was about to rise. Because of the dusty atmosphere, it wasn’t visible in the first place, although when it appeared in my frame it had this pleasing orangy color. I choose to go for a pano because the planets were spread in the sky and I wanted to include all the celestial objects in my image. Move the slider on the image for labels.

There are many times that I’ve thought to continue sleeping and not waking up, having in mind that probably the conditions won’t be ideal, although every time I woke up early to go out for a shoot I never regretted it. So do happen this time.”
