Mountain, Lake, and Milky Way
Description
From the photographer: “The Milky Way rising above Mt Serkhe Khollu in the Cordillera Real range of the Andes in Bolivia. Serkhe Khollu (also written Sirk’i Qullu and other variations) is 5546m / 18,196ft high and the highest peak in the Serranias Murillo mini-range not far from La Paz. Lighting is from the 4 day old waxing moon, which was setting as the Milky Way was rising. Lake Serkhe Khollu is a small reservoir at around 4900m / 16,075ft; luckily for a while after sunset it was still enough to have some wonderful reflections!”
