Moonrise Over Gran Canaria Island

The Full Moon rises above Gran Canaria Island and waters of the Atlantic Ocean, as seen from the Teide Observatory (Tenerife Island). The photographer used HDRI (High Dynamic Range Imaging) technique of multiple exposures to capture details of the landscape and the lunar disk at the same time. The coloration is caused by light scattered by dust particles from Sahara desert.
