Surprises at Haifoss
Description
While at Haifoss (high waterfall), to catch the northern lights, I noticed a couple of surprises:
The orange glow on the horizon resembles the active volcano from 100 km away but later I realized its the light pollution from the nearby towns, specially the immensely bright greenhouses in the area.
But more astonishing are streaks which appear vertically above the light dome. They are present in a systematic way on each of the photos and always present the same way. They are probably light pillar atmospheric phenomenon created by ice crystals in the air above the greenhouses.
