As noted by the photographer “I was sitting at the bottom of a lighthouse in Asia, looking at the historical peninsula in Europe less than 2 km away, which is a large UNESCO World Heritage site. Sultan Ahmet Mosque is visible on the left and the iconic Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia) with its huge dome is at right.”
