Tenerife Eclipse
Description
As seen on the National Geographic News a complete sequence of total lunar eclipse of May 2003 above tajinastes in Teide mountain, Tenerife. The tajinastes, which show brilliant red colors, are endemic plants of the Canary Islands. Teide or Pico del Teide, is an active though dormant volcano located in the World Heritage Site of Parque Nacional del Teide. At 3718m above sea level, and approximately 7500 m above the floor of the Atlantic Ocean, Teide is the highest mountain in Spain and the highest point in the Atlantic Ocean.
