Comets in the Zodiacal Light

In a morning twilight of Kenya’s Amboseli National Park at the foot of Kilimanjaro, the Zodiacal light (sunlight reflection of asteroid dust in the Solar System plane) shines over the east above the rising light of dawn. Zodiac constellations Virgo and Leo are framed along the elongated light. Look carefully to find two green-head comets, at the edge of naked-eye visibility in this image. Move the slider on the image to see the labels. Comet Lovejoy C/2013 R1 is on the upper left in Leo and Comet ISON (C/2012 S1) on its way to the Sun, appears in the lower right.
