Clay, Orion, Moonlight
Description
This otherworldly landscape has confusing scale in this frame. The largest formations in the view are about 10 ft (3 m) high. Constellation Orion is rising in the evening sky as the moonlight is shining on the Cathedral Gorge State Park in Nevada. The eroded soft clay is left from a lake-bed that existed here a million years ago. See the second image for closeup view of Orion above the clay formations.
