Description

Time-lapse video: A night begins from high altitude slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Below the clouds is the light of Moshi, a town situated on the lower southern slopes of Kilimanjaro. Above the clouds the sky toward south displays some of the iconic features of southern sky: bright star Alpha and Beta Centauri, the Southern Cross, the Coalsack dark nebula, and later in the night the Small Magellanic cloud (rising from the left, the southeast). © Kwon O Chul

    Awesome video! This proves that even the Milky Way “isn’t there all the time” in the night sky, like some people claim, it may completely appear and disappear from view, just as any constellation, cluster, galaxy nebulae, planet or star does, as the earth rotates! GREAT STUFF, kudos to you!
