Tenerife Milky Way

In this night-time view of Tenerife in the Canary Islands a red tajinaste is photographed under a spectacular scene of the Milky Way. Tajinastes are endemic plants of Canary Islands and the red ones only grow in Tenerife. Its habitat is high altitude and they can reach 3 meters tall living only a few months. They don’t bloom very often and when they do (as in this picture) it only lasts for about two weeks.
