From the photographer: “On 2016 September 29, a wonderful sky conjunction between planet Mercury and the Moon occurred. The Solar System’s innermost planet appears here just a day after its greatest elongation from the Sun. The thin waning crescent Moon shines above the Italian Medicina Radio Astronomical Station. It was recorded during a colorful nautical twilight – 04:29 am UTC. What a majestic view!
