A Notable Photo of the 2015 International Earth & Sky Photo Contest

From the photographer: “Captured a day before our attempt to climb Matterhorn. I was trying to sleep because thick fog prevented effectively taking pictures. And when everyone start to snored I still could not sleep. Maybe a half an hour later fog thinned around the tent to show the full majesty of the mountains and of course Matterhorn. Furthermore the rising moon began illuminating everything around. Then a swarm of Perseid meteors whipped sky and Milky Way came out just to the left. That was my real dream.”
