Endless Summer
Description
The midnight sun shines over the Arctic Ocean as photographed from North Cape (Nordkapp) in northern most part of mainland Europe (latitude of about 71 degrees). In the polar regions the sun shines 24 hours near the summer solstice. The North Cape is only 2100 km away from the North Pole. The midnight sun can be seen here from mid-May to the end of July.
