From the photographer: “The Great Wall of China, generally built along the historical northern borders of China, protecting the Chinese Empire against intrusions by various nomadic groups for more than a thousand years, has become the most popular tourist site in China now. In the daytime, the stretches of walls are filled with crowds of tourists and endless shutter sound. The breath of history can only be felt at this very quiet night.”
