Description

From the photographer: “The photo shows the north sky from the highest mountain in the western part of India at Gurushikar Observatory. Situated at 1722meters above MSL, one can notice how light pollution is affecting the seeing of the magnificent night sky.” The northern stars including Ursa Major and Ursa Minor with prominent asterisms Big Dipper and Little Dipper appear in the sky. The north star Polaris is on the middle right.
