Comet Hyakutake is about to set on the very last night it was visible to the photographer. The zodiacal light and Venus appear to the comet's left, while a row of winter stars from Taurus and Pleiades (below Venus) to Orion and Canis Major (with the bright Sirius at the left end) set in the western horizon.
