The Sydney Opera House shines at night. The photographer made this over-exposed image of the building to show the flight path of birds above the strong lights of this World Heritage monument. Light pollution change the biological rhythms and affect life of many species specially birds. Click on the constellation icon above the image to see a photo of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge during the fireworks event marking the 100 years of the Australian Navy (October 2013). Opened in 1963, the Opera House has been a site of inspiration and creativity and became an Australian identity. John Goldsmith,
