Stars trails around the north celestial pole in a time-exposure image that has captured the rotating sky (the effect of the Earth rotation). The north star Polaris appear closest to the pole. On the Earth is the old water ditch around the fortification of Saarlouis, a historic town located at the river Saar in Germany, close to France.
