The northern lights or aurora borealis dance gracefully over the deck of the ms Finnmarken cruise near Tromso, northern Norway. As noted by the photographer "The trick to photographing the moving lights from a moving ship is to use a fast lens, high ISO and a short exposure, and to time your shots properly. In this case I used only a second exposure." Click on the constellation icon above the image to see another image of this night.
