Discovered by an amateur astronomer in Japan on 2013 August 14, the erupting star designated as Nova Del 2013 is photographed here a night later on August 15th above a historic tower in medieval village of Sant LlorenÁ de la Muga, Catalonia, Spain. Click on the constellation icon above the image to see the annotated version. The bright nova reached magnitude 4 and was visible to unaided eyes (away from major light pollution) for few weeks, shining in the small constellation of Delphinus. Juan Carlos Casado,
