Southwest Night

By: Tunc Tezel

Region: Americas

Site: Monument Valley - USA

Date: 2012 May 21

The central bulge of the Milky Way in constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius rises in the southeast, as seen from the Monument Valley on the border of Arizona and Utah in southwestern US. Thanks to dry desert conditions, high elevation and having little light pollution, the sky comes alive. Spearhead Mesa is the prominent rise in the right hand side. Tunc Tezel
