Stars trail above the volcanic Mount Teide on Canary Islands in evening sky. As noted by the photographer "The image is composed by 200 shots of 30 seconds exposure each, from the end of twilight to the Moonrise. At right above the hill one can see the buildings and domes of Teide Observatory (instituo de Astrof´sica de Canarias, IAC). In the background a flare of an Iridium satellite is also recorded." The Pico del Teide, is a 500,000 years old volcano in Tenerife Island (Canary Islands) of Spain. The World Heritage Site reaches an altitude of 3718 m above sea level, and approximately 7500 m above the floor of the Atlantic Ocean which makes Teide the highest point in this Ocean.
